About MartialArtsMatch
The story behind the quiz
Why we built this
Try searching for martial arts near me. You get a long list of clubs, but no help choosing. And the most important question never gets answered: which martial art is right for you?
Most beginners don't stall because the club is too far away. They stall because they don't know what to pick. So we flipped the order. First you find out which martial art fits you. Then you find a club nearby.
How the quiz works
You answer 4-7 quick questions about your goals, your temperament and how you like to move. The quiz adapts as you go, so your answers decide which questions come next.
Behind it is a scoring engine that weighs your answers against 22 martial arts. It goes for the best fit, not the biggest name. If an overlooked style suits you better than a popular one, that is the one you will see.
Your result is a link you can share. No account needed.
The styles we cover
Striking: boxing, kickboxing, muay thai, karate, taekwondo, capoeira, wing chun, sanda and wushu.
Grappling: BJJ, judo, wrestling and sambo.
Weapons: kendo, kali, HEMA and bujinkan.
Traditional and internal: aikido and tai chi.
Self-defence and hybrid: krav maga, hapkido and MMA.
The quiz is connected to a map of over 700 clubs across Denmark. So you can see right away where you can train.
Fair by design
MartialArtsMatch is run by a club owner. Rankings and recommendations cannot be bought. Not by us, not by anyone.
The founder owns a martial arts club in Denmark. So we say it straight: the matching engine gives it no special treatment. It competes on equal terms with every other club.
Who made it
MartialArtsMatch is built in Denmark by a martial artist with many years on the mats. Too many beginners quit because nobody helps them find the right place to start. We wanted to change that.
